This reference covers the editor embedded on the home page. If a shortcut is listed here, that demo implements it.

Keyboard shortcuts

Keys	Where	Result
`⌘ K` / `Ctrl K`	Anywhere on the demo	Open the command palette.
`⌘ B` / `Ctrl B`	Editor	Wrap the selection in bold markers.
`⌘ I` / `Ctrl I`	Editor	Wrap the selection in italic markers.
`Tab`	Editor	Insert two spaces without leaving the editor.
`Enter`	After a list item or quote	Continue the current marker; numbered lists increment.
`/`	Start of an empty line	Open inline commands; keep typing to filter.
`↑` / `↓`	Command menu	Move through matching commands.
`Enter`	Command menu	Run the selected command.
`Esc`	Command menu or overlay	Close it; the command palette returns focus to the editor.
`?`	Outside the editor	Open the shortcut overlay.

Press ⌘ K or Ctrl K, or type / at the start of an empty line. Both menus expose the same commands.

Command	What it does
Insert heading	Insert a level-two Markdown heading.
Insert code block	Insert a fenced text code block.
Insert table	Insert a two-column Markdown table.
Insert today's date	Insert the current local calendar date as `YYYY-MM-DD`.
Toggle preview	Show or hide preview; switch views on narrow screens.
Toggle theme	Switch the manual light or dark preference.
Word count	Announce the live word and character total.
Copy as Markdown	Copy the complete source document.
Export .md	Download a dated Markdown file.
Clear document	Clear the editor after confirmation.

The renderer intentionally does not execute embedded HTML. User text is escaped before Markdown formatting is applied.
